In the following video, Dr. Shelby Steele gives his views on the BLM protests. He says that the current protests are more reminiscent of a carnival, and that it's so anemic and poorly organized that they couldn't even bother to make a proper list of demands, hence the hysterical and much ridiculed 'defund the police' demand that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He blames it on the current generation being rudderless.
He further characterizes Rev. Al Sharpton(who he knows personally) as a sixties relic who specializes in race hustling. He considers his influence on the black community to be crippling and regressive, turning them into victims and setting them back decades.
