I loved his character in Dogma. Otherwise, I didn't see Die Hard, Harry Potter, etc.
Kudos to him for writing a play on Rachel Corrie tho.

Die Hard is what happens when a brilliant and at the time internationally unknown British stage actor plays a German villain in a good action film. It was a chance alignment of the stars, a conflagration of unexpected qualities. Rickman was that film.

He was one of my very favorite actors. His job in Sense and Sensibility was phenomenal. He made us care for a very difficult character. In fact he always made us care for the character he was playing. Even when he was the bad guy. Watching him I thought I could see what he was thinking. Few actors do that for me.

I am very sad tonight.
