-What will ultimately happen in a capitalist society is all resources will be spent and masses will go their separate ways. There is an end to advancement, unless a capitalist society can spread, it starves itself. Capitalism is like a Virus that is limited to one person (earth).

-What will happen in a communist society is no different. Government control ceases, leaving the door open to hostile takeovers.
Communism is like cutting the weeds (rights) and then throwing away the lawnmower(government) , the weeds grow back (it does not solve anything).

-What will hapen in a socialist society is the same as the other two. The government regulates everything capitalist, so that it will look fair and "pretty" like communism. Eventually the system fails. Like a pilot keeping his aeroplane steady, so that the passengers do not panic, before he crashes. It can be described also as putting balloons on an anvil, then pushing it off a high cliff. Those who think that such a system can work should wait at the bottom of such a cliff.

The only solution to the problem of econmic gravity is the formation of a technate.

The spectrum of government types can be described as a see-saw. In the see-saw model, when either side of the see-saw touches the ground, the economy fails.

-capitalism says put all of the people on one side and the resourses on the other. The resourses quickly become scarce as the popluation soars. The system crashes.

-communism-says ignor the other side of the see-saw and it will go away. The one side of the see-saw holds everyone and the other-side holds production. Everyone relies one everyone else and little is produced to balance the economy. The system does not last at all.

-socialism says everyone in the middle, in the "arms" of the government, until the government's "legs" get too tired. The system falters to one side. The government in an effort to stay balanced, preys on the rich to be fair to the poor. Eventualy the rich become scarce and the government must become either capitalist or communist.

In a technate, the government says do not let anyone touch the see-saw, throw the see-saw away and replace it with a cement block, where everyone can sit down.

With time any government, that relies on people who work or continuous growth, will fall. Resources are not infinite and people are reproducing too quickly.

I believe that we need to look to science to find a perfect balance so that humans can remain on the planet indefinitely.

If you can explain your case in another way besides using 50,000 metaphors, I may respond to this.

I think what Omnist Priest is trying to say is that economics is a lot like a blancmange.

Now, in a socialist society the government is adding the cornstarch. But how can it be sure that it's adding enough? Because it does not ask the person eating the blancmange, it will never know.

In a technate on the other hand, people are told what the blancmange is going to taste like to begin with. So the people are satisfied, there is the right mixture of milk and cornstarch and the economy functions correctly?

This is right, isn't it?

For the love of God, if you have to use metaphors to this extent to prove your case, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Is it me or does this belong in the Technocracy forum? I'm not interested in this in the slightest.

Alas, corporations can just take the best parts of technocratic ideas and use them to increase their profits. This is already happening, a few examples:

-Car manufacturers are using standardised platforms on which to build their cars, in line with the technocratic idea of standardising common parts in order to increase efficiency.

-there is a company in Finland that offers a service similar to the technocratic solution to private transportation. That is to increase the hours-in-use/idle ratio by using the same car for many inviduals. You order the car via a cell phone, drive it, leave it. It is then cleaned and fueled for the next customer. A quick lease, in a way. The technocratic way would be a lot more efficient, but this is essentially the same thing.
