Slovakia has a Slovak team because they were a weak people who never colonized anything and were in fact imperial subjects to various empires. I am not an imperialist anymore. I converted to Anarcho-Capitalism like 6 months ago. Its cool though, you make an interesting point, for if imperialism is about co-opting the best in order to dominate, than using blacks where they can make the "empire" more successful is perfectly reasonable and
definitely racialist.
Great point actually.

I guess a Black American takes pride in a white American scientist and a white American takes pride in a Black American scientist, actor, athlete whatever, same goes for the French and British and South American people too, less so in typical mono-ethnic European countries.
Indeed, and the changes in those nations and their attitudes definitely can be seen in what sort of demographics are seen as "acceptable" in the mediums of entertainment.
I do think South America is different though because they've been multi-racial since their inception in a way that is not true for America and the colonial powers.
Otherwise, I generally agree; though tribalism is becoming an issue in America and Europe and I think that is changing the way people feel about their sports teams.
The Kapernick debacle here in the states has definitely made the white working class (arguably the biggest NFL fans) a bit more irritated towards the black community that makes up the majority of NFL players.
The rise of the european far-right and irritations stemming from the migrant crisis will likely yield similar growing disconnects between fans and racially non-representative teams.
But then again, if Rome is a model, the masses won't give a shit so long as they get their bread and circuses. Fuck skin color, Fuck western collapse, gimme my football and fish n' chips.
