Cambodia's top garment workers union leader was shot dead on Thursday in the latest of a string of high-profile killings that have tarnished the country's slowly improving reputation.
Chea Vichea, the outspoken lead of the Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was shot three times as he reada newspaper at a roadside stall near a Buddhist pagoda in central Phnom Penh, police said.
He died instantly.
