Several people were arrested after a confrontation with police outside the American embassy in Wellington.
A group, describing themselves as the New Zealand Citizens Weapons Inspection team tried to scale the fence around the building to search for illegal weapons on the premises as part of an anti-war protest.
Some arrests were made during that attampe, and more later when the protesters tried to physically stop the police van from leaving.

God I love New Zealand. I just wish I could have been there, I'd been saying we should do something like this for a while now.
