Well how do you identify what race a person is?

That is what most people use. If you are a logical person. Identify yourself.

You define who and what and how you think of yourself. And people either agree or they do not.

Are we defined by the place we are born only? What if you grow up in another country or state? Is John McCain Panamanian because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone? No. He is a US citizen due to both his parents being US citizens and being born in a territory that is considered belonging to the USA. Military territories are on US soil. If the parents are US citizens or one of them is.

American Samoans are American nationals. But not US citizens. They have different status and rights than Constitutionally guaranteed citizenship or Naturalized US Citizenship. US Virgin Islands, Solomon Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico among other little islands have statutory US citizenship. If you are born there. Once you leave the US Virgin Islands, PR, and other places you can VOTE on the mainland. You can't do so if you remain on the island.

You also have a much harder time renouncing US citizenship than a US citizen would have if they wanted to give up their US citizenship and be accepting the citizenship of another nation. Some nations allow US Citizens to be dual or double citizens of another nation that have agreements, and some other nations require only ONE citizenship. And you need to give up your native one. It is interesting.

Have you ever used currency to buy something? Same sort of idea. We pretend that bits of paper with ink on them or small metal discs are worth something and can be exchanged for goods and services. In the same way, we pretend that there are different races, because it can be socially or politically useful to do so. As you have repeatedly pointed out, how else could we talk about the effects of racism, or the possibility of affirmative action, and the like?

It has to be that way Ingliz. I told you they are not ruled by logic. My mother went to some KKK meetings in Oklahoma, to get to know who the enemy was. I tell you she was fearless. The Protestant Reformation in the 16th century brought about a distinction between usury (charging high-interest rates) and the more acceptable lending of money at low-interest rates. Islam, on the other hand, has historically not made this distinction, but charging interest is not allowed in the religion.

Somehow men who are straight tend to notice women who look very attractive more than they do a fellow guy who looks like an ordinary guy.
