Do you get mad when you see a certain news story and then click on it for ad views?

Does Donald Trump going Donald make you mad?

Does woke Disney make you mad?

Are you a culture warrior? Are you willing to die in this war?

Is this topic not going to get as many replies because it's not a debate about trans people and immigrants?

Are we just feeding a media machine for ad clicks? Is this the Jerry Springerization of society? Is it a coincidence that FOX News and CNN rating go up when they show more culture war stories? Is this a plot by big pharma to sell more blood pressure meds?

You gotta beat the system - read online the headline, make all the assumptions you want about the content and fight it out in the comments on some shitty site, but don't click on the link to give them ad revenue. :D

I'll remind that the entire media *industry* / 'domain', is *still* 'only' 'Fourth Estate'.

There are three more 'estates' that historically superseded the Fourth Estate in power, but in more *contemporary* times this has been called into question.

In old days men had the rack. Now they have the press. That is an improvement certainly. But still it is very bad, and wrong, and demoralising. Somebody – was it Burke? – called journalism the fourth estate. That was true at the time, no doubt. But at the present moment it really is the only estate. It has eaten up the other three. The Lords Temporal say nothing, the Lords Spiritual have nothing to say, and the House of Commons has nothing to say and says it. We are dominated by Journalism. In America the President reigns for four years, and Journalism governs for ever and ever. Fortunately in America Journalism has carried its authority to the grossest and most brutal extreme. As a natural consequence it has begun to create a spirit of revolt.

I wonder what the estates would be now if they were created?

Media, education institutions, NGO's (including religious institutions), government, the working class, the businesses class. (includes the rich) That's 6.

No distinction in modern Western society. Capitalism's greatest triumph - turning the entire working class into mini-bourgeousie through their privatized pensions, 401ks, Roth IRAs, etc.

Yeah, but the class collectively votes based on things like "stock market performance" and "property value".

That's the private-property-hegemonic information system for the bourgeoisie's own political economy.

I have *my* own formulation to counterpose, for a *post-capitalist* political economy:

This daily mass-prioritization of material and socio-political demands is the information most needed by society, and by liberated labor in particular, a mirror-reflection of total verbatim collective consciousness, through compiled data.

Yes.
Does Donald Trump going Donald make you mad?

Yes but not as mad as his followers do.
Does woke Disney make you mad?

It does.

Are you a culture warrior? Are you willing to die in this war?

Oh hell no.

Is this topic not going to get as many replies because it's not a debate about trans people and immigrants?

That too.

Our entire life has become an advertising algorithm. Fox IS a culture warrior station. CNN culture war stories are about Fox News.

Blood pressure medicine is not a high profit item except that people tend to take the same one for a long time.

Current 'stakeholders', I'd say, borrowing from the context of market-socialism-type approaches.

It's always the merchant class bickering with its own nation-state apparatus -- in the U.S. the *bourgeoisie* has been dominant over / within the patchwork of nation-states worldwide, while in *China* it's the *bureaucracy* that's solidly dominated for centuries.

(I think we've covered this before -- no?)

A lot about the world makes a lot more sense when you realise that it is hate that makes us human. Any dumb arsed mammal can love, Jesus even birds can form life long partnerships. Its only in our closest relatives that we see that spark of humanity, the spark of hatred. Chimpanzees have been seen to rip the genitals off a dead chimpanzee from a rival group. By this act of symbolic violence, they demonstrate primitive consciousness of identity. Identity must always be defined in relation to another.

Even with the arrival of civilisation most humans managed to live in relatively isolated groups with established authoritarian hierarchies. But then some idiot invented the printing press, allowing everyone to know what everyone else is thinking, putting an end to blissful ignorance. And then instead of doing the obvious and abolishing the printing press, blow me down, they went and invented the internet, allowing everyone to know what everyone else is thinking five seconds after they've thought it.

Wait -- so you're in the culture wars to say that you don't *want* to be in the culture wars?

Like Hitler believed, humanity should be engaged in perpetual racial combat. That is the only natural way.

Oh no I'm far too much of a warmonger for Hitler and the Hitler lovers. The real Hitler lovers that I meet mostly on forums, all seem to be rabid peace mongers. they're always moaning about Winston Churchill and complaining that we went to war in 1939 or about his nasty city bombing.. I've never heard such degenerate pacifism as you get from the Hitler lovers. Never mind the rights or wrongs of Czechoslovakia or Poland, Hitler signed an agreement at Munich with His majesty's First Lord of the Treasury. Hitler's occupation of Czechoslovakia in March 1939 was a violation of his express word to our King, our Prime minister and our nation. Hitler insulted our King, our Prime Minster and our nation and our honour demanded his death. What's more Hitler just expected us to peacefully give back the League of Nations mandates that we had won on the field of battle. Just who the hell did Hitler think he was dealing with? Treating Britain like it was Denmark or something.

If this wasn't bad enough Hitler was a ghastly conservative prude, criticising joseph Goebbels for not being monogamous and a rabid Islamophile to boot. Now people say what's my beef with the Muslims. Its quite simple. They spit in the face of God. God made us Human and they want to live like Gorillas. Gorillas live in troops mostly led by a single male, allowing the dominate male to live untroubled about the paternity of the young. Hence gorillas have small testicles for their size and produce little sperm. For too long bigots have written off Chimpanzees as just undeveloped knuckle walkers along with gorillas. in fact its increasingly certain that knuckle walking is not a shared inherited trait inherited from a common Chimp-gorilla-hominoid ancestor, but a case of separate convergent adaption.

Chimps like humans have large testicles and produce large amount of sperm. God created us Chimps and Humans to be promiscuous, which is why he gave males large testicles so as upon intercourse, the large majority of a male's sperm can attempt to hunt down and kill rival male's sperms. No there is no escaping it. Even serial monogamy won't cut it. God created us to be properly promiscuous. Promiscuous warmongers that is what has made us human. That is what trubo charged our evolution. Promiscuous warmongers only that has been able to provide the huge differential rates of reproduction to justify the enormous costs of our oversized brains.

Hitler’s road to power

Social democratic parties of the Labour type dominated the governments of Europe’s two biggest countries at the time of the Wall Street Crash in October 1929. In Britain Labour’s Ramsay MacDonald had formed a minority government dependent on Liberal support earlier in the year, while the German Social Democrat Müller headed a ‘grand coalition’ formed with the ‘moderate’ bourgeois parties the year before.

Neither government had any idea of how to cope with the crisis which engulfed them by 1930. Increased unemployment meant increased expenditure on benefits. Reduced industrial production meant less tax revenue. Government budgets began to run into deficit. Financial instability hit both countries—US bankers demanded repayment of the ‘Dawes Plan’ loans which had boosted the German economy in the mid-1920s and financiers began to gamble against the international exchange rate of sterling.
