Today, the 31st of May, the BBC online World News has a brief video showing nothing but smoke and ruins. Yet the link to reads "Assad wants women and children killed." When you link to the video you will find it is a quote from a person who gives no proof or anything for that matter.

Not there now. Are you sure there were quotes around the claim? The BBC normally uses them extensively.

Ah - I can find it now; I have to go the 'World' section (there is a different Assad video on the 'simple' BBC home page). And I was right - the title puts single quote marks around it, thus:

'Assad wants women and children killed'

So it is marked as something someone other that the BBC or Assad said.

Business as usual. You're allowed to do that on pofo too, just find a source that agrees with you and you can post non-stop articles about how jews are eating babies for breakfast and banks for dinner. "Hey, i'm totally impartial on this, I'm just quoting this guy over here, it's what he said."
