The scam works like this: You park your car temporarily on the side of the road in a Mexican border town, and when you get out of the store with your bottle of Coca-Cola, you notice it's been chained to a telephone pole in a 15-minute parking zone.
A policeman standing nearby, informs you that in 30 minutes, your car will be towed and you will have to pay $200 to get it back. But for only $50, the policeman will remove the chain with his key, and you will be free to not pay the fine.
In other words, the policeman is offereing to SAVE YOU $150 if you ACT NOW!
This fifty dollar contribution will *save you money* and will also help the Mexican policeman to buy *more chains for fund-raising purposes.*
And commercial media operates the exact same way.

The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax bases of the US and Europe through Afghanistan and back into the hands of a transnational security elite.
The goal is an endless war, not a successful war.
