Yeah that's the guy. Admittedly I haven't read the book in years... I remember it was both interesting and unsatisfying at the same time.

Yep, that were pretty much my impressions too. I was impressed by the fact that he tried to collate information on both sides for the whole period and make an encyclopedia of sorts, but I found the book kind of scant on details of equipment's performance, actual tactics and strategy and it was very weak on the air force from what I remember.

Yet, it was the only one of its kind that I was aware of at the time and it's an interesting thing to have on the bookshelf, I think.
