Dumb Teen I would disagree the Middle east enjoyed great success until the Ottomans united the region under their flag and war ceased yes their were flare ups but no state versus state warfare especailly after the Austrains knocked the crap out of them and they never invaded Europe again. In CHina the waring state period brought great achievements in CHinese technology but after they hegemonized they had no need to advance further.

War creates advances when it's fought overseas, but its rarley of benefit in ones homeland when it comes to leaps in science. The Muslims ceased to be a power in science due to the Mongols wiping out millions of them which they didn't recover from until.. well they still haven't. China for the reasons already mentioned.
