Meh, I went for the cheap option. The only extra is the 20-inch.

Zagadka Cram-Crap-Together 2008 (model name Gora - previous unit was Sora, Rodina before that)

Asus nForce 5 board
AMD Athlon x64 X2 dual core 4200+
4 gigs Corsair matched DDR-3 RAM w/HS

BFG nVidia GTX 280 , PCI-e

20" widescreen Dell LCD (digital), 1680x1050
18" Dell LCD (analog), 1280x1024

Drive C: 300 gb SATA
Drive D: 120 gb SATA

Vista Ult, Win7 beta, Ubuntu

Cooling: 2 90mm fans (intake and outtake), advanced HSU, 2 80mm fans on a card beneath the 280 GTX with exhaust

Others: DVD-RW (region code disabled), 3.5" floppy, 4 front-panel USB, 1 front-panel Firewire, internal temperature gauge on front (holding at 37*C), analog audio on front panel, Dolby 5.1 system, standard USB etc stuff in the back.

Nothing is overclocked.

Next upgrades will be board and processor, same nForce brand, but waiting for processors to take another step... after that, replace the analog monitor with a widescreen touch monitor. I don't feel the need to go SLI on the gForce.

A shiny new 286, 16MHz clock, 512K RAM and 85 megs HD + 14" 256-colour screen! I love it, purrs like a kitten. :D

But seriously:

Intel DP35DP mother board.
Intel E6750 (duo core 2) processor running @ 2.66ghz.
2 gigs of 800mhz DDR2 RAM (should really buy 2 more gigs).
250gb (70gb free) WD HD internal, 500gb (11gb free) WD HD external, 1tb (780gb free) Seagate HD external.
Radeon 2900Pro 512mb (got it for free after my Radeon 1950Pro 256mb started heating up).
Samsung 226BW 22".

Runs all games fairly well, even Crysis at 1680x1050, High quality, at around 25-30fps, so I can't complain. I don't think I'll upgrade it any time soon, maybe just add some more RAM, it creates bottle-necks. I need to save money.

I don't understand how people can give their computers names.

Mac users, maybe. But PC users?

(Actual pen names not hostname of the computer)

-core2duo e7400 overclocked to 3.3ghz on air cooling.

-4gb 800mhz ram.

-2 Terabytes SATA2 HDD space.

-Radeon 4870 video card with 1GB memory.

-Cheap Little Asus motherboard that does the job better than ten prostitutes put together.

-Quality 650W power supply.

Might get a quad core cpu when they go down in price as an upgrade down the track.

As for now I'm downright satisfied, 30fps average in crysis on maximum dx10 settings on high widescreen resolution = Good enough for the next 1-2 years.
