For Goodness Sake! This is a government that can't even be trusted to grasp the science behind the greatest challenge this planet and our children have ever faced! How could they be trusted with running the country?
They are in government because of the power and the wealth of their masters in industry and the media. They were deceitful in opposition and will be every bit as deceitful in power. They know that as long as they do as they are told, then they will face no scrutiny from Australia's largest media group. They also know that the media (and consequently, the public) have a short attention span and will lose interest if they refuse to 'feed the chooks'. Hence, Tony Abbott's silence after the exposure of the hypocrisy of the wedding junkets he and his colleagues enjoyed at taxpayers expense.
Releasing the 'blue books' from each of the Departments would expose their deceitful campaign for what it was. There was no 'budget emergency'. There was no 'border crisis'. Their Direct Action plans will be an unadministrable, costly nightmare. Senior public servants will be sensitive to this, and aware that this is a vindictive and vicious master when angered.

While on one hand you don't want elitist politics in your face, on the other silence and secretly making decisions without
even feeble reporters asking feeble questions risks bad government and everything else that flows from it.
