A good article. I wonder why the coalition hasn't been more aggressive in exposing this sort of thing? Possible a 'gentlemen's agreement' exists to protect their own skeletons in the closet?

What unions do with their money is the concern of ONLY the members of that union. The overwhelming majority of Coalition members are not union members so it's not their money and it's not taxpayers money so why do they care?

The rules governing the finances of unions already set out reporting and if any union member wants to find out where his/her cash is going then they should try asking. Most union members pay their fees and make no pretense of wanting to get involved. It leads to shitty unions and slush funds but it's got jack to do with the Coalition or the broader taxpayer.
