After spending the last 14 months denying Australians the oppoutunity to return home due to a lack of places available in quarantine, up to 11% of which were utilised by foreign investors, and allowing airlines to fly first class only flights to price out ordinary Aussies[1], Morrison has now placed a blanket ban on all arrivals from India. This resulted in over 9,000 Australians being abandoned in the sub-continent, 900 of whom are now officially classed as 'vulnerable' due to their health and finances[2]. 30% of Australian residents are foreign born[3] but the gov't has made little effort to accommodate their overseas trips by expanding quarantine facilities. Presumably the situation won't improve until the gov't opens a quarantine facility on Nauru[4].
