Significant as the vessel represents Russia's first major surface combatant design that can not readily be traced back to the Soviet era. It's taken over eight years to get to this point but at least the result appears impressive.

Shotgun is a hunting rifle technically. Well, unless you consider "rifle" to be strictly stuff with rifled barrel, in my language rifle (puška) is basically any long barreled small arm hence why I wrote so. May not be the most correct therm in English I imagine...

Clarification:
This is right by Split airport in Croatia. The Mig is crossing the civilian road en route from the runway to the Podzemni objekt "Cetina" (Underground facility "Cetina", named after a river), which is an underground U shaped tunnel built during Yugoslavia for protection of fighter aircraft. It's basically a mini version of Underground facility "Klek", the main part of Željava Air Base (the ruins of which I have visited twice). Like Željava, this underground structure seems to be abandoned as well, even though there are still warning signs on the entrances of it being military property. The picture is probably taken no later than the early 2000's, judging by the cars. The facility is not in use since 2005.

Definitely on my list, if it's really abandoned as it looks. I guess I'm kind of "lucky" that there's so much stuff like this left over from Yugoslavia in Croatia and other former socialist republics.

Edit: just checked some local forums, apparently even though it's not currently in use, guards make their rounds once per day and the Ministry of Defense put its nose into a planned reconstruction of the civilian road (they plan to make a roundabout crossing there) to make sure the reconstruction takes the tunnel access into account and makes aircraft crossing possible, looks like they still have some plans for it.

Came in possession of this 20x110 Hispano round today. It's in pretty bad shape, from what limited info there is on the internet I'm halfway sure that this is a high explosive-incendiary round.
It's pretty old and the bullet is a bit loose and wobbly, but since they are electrically primed and the bullets supposedly spin-armed, I'm hoping it's safe enough Certainly didn't go off in the mishandled box full of other crap that it came from.

If anyone has additional info on this specific kind of 20mm round and its fusing I'd love to hear it.

Wonder if this is WW2 stuff or later, could the "44" refer to the year?

Interest purchase, looks like your right rox the 44 appears to stand for the year of manufacture and the K4 is the name of the contractor which is mentioned to be the Kynoch Wartime Factory, Middlesex, UK (1942-1944).

It's totally not a big deal like in pussy safety over-obsessed west/north Europe. I know shitloads of people who have a live 20/30mm AA round or two hanging around, and never any story of it blowing up or anything, unless people do something smart like throw it in a fire. Now hand grenades, mines and stuff like that which takes lots and lots less to go off, that shit is really scary and actually causes tragedies once in a while. Ironically the day I got this round a kid found a hand grenade elsewhere in the country, brought it home and it blew up, killing his mother, himself and wounding three siblings in what was one of the worst tragedies of this kind that I remember Police found more grenades on the playground where the kid found it, apparently there's a sociopath in town.

Interesting stuff. Still interested in actually 100% confirming the priming/arming mechanism. In the odd chance that it's really possible for it to blow if dropped, I might get rid of it or put it in a safer place than my ammo shelf. It's not a very pretty example anyway.

By the way do you have any idea what this thing is? I didn't take this one with me but it sure tickles my interest. My first guess would be a rifle-grenade-something, maybe with a signal or target practice purpose?
