About 50.
skinster wrote:He was holding a flag. The IDF and Israeli state are so insecure that Palestinian flags are banned (this is a true story). He was attacked for holding the flag just like the guy next to him was for also holding a flag and you can see that by the way the IDF attack both of them trying to grab their flags. These Palestinian men were in the West Bank (considered Palestinian territory) demonstrating peacefully against further land theft plans by the Israelis.
I was referring to what he was holding in his other hand. The IDF soldier did not grab at the hand holding the flag. He grabbed at the other hand and struggled for a good while in an attempt to get the Palestinian man to release the knife or whatever it was he was holding. But if the Palestinian flag is banned, then that would be another reason for arrest.

I did not see video of what happened to the Palestinian man after he was put in cuffs. That was not part of the complaint from the commentator of the video I saw. The guy was not shot and killed by the IDF soldier, so it seems that the IDF soldier was being merciful to someone that attacked him, IMO.

It looked to me like the Palestinian man's crime was an attempted attack on an IDF soldier with something that looked like a small pocket knife and then resisting arrest. There was at least one other man demonstrating with a flag and nothing was done about that until one of the men confronted one of the IDF soldiers and attacked him. The IDF soldier seemed to be threatened by what the Palestinian man was holding in his left hand and clearly spent most of his original effort on the left hand and did not seem concerned that he was holding a flag in his right hand from what I saw.
Here is another video of the incident:
