If the Aztecs are known for anything it's their step-pyrmids and the 24/7 human sacrifices. A Marxist friend of mine insists the sacrifices were a main food source and the two highest honors of the Aztec warrior.(to take prisoners in battle for the sacrifices or to be taken prisoner for the sacrifices) was state propaganda. Does anyone here know if the sacrifices involved cannibalism and if so was it alimentary or ritual?
When I was down, you just stood there grinning.
